At UCOL/Te Pūkenga we're passionate about the power of education to positively change the lives of our ākonga, their whānau, and the wider hapori. We aim to ensure our learners in the Bachelor of Nursing Programme, delivered at our beautiful Wairarapa campus are well equipped for the future needs of employers, by providing them with a mix of hands-on and classroom-based learning. 

Te āheinga: The opportunityWe are seeking a Registered Nurse, who has a passion and knowledge to underpin nursing practice. In addition, having nursing experience in any area of mental health, acute medical/surgical or primary health nursing practice will give you an opportunity to use your skills and share your experience to pass on to the next generation of nurses.

He korero mōu: About youYou will provide exceptional teaching for our Bachelor of Nursing programmes, and be an active contributor to the development and delivery of the programme. Overall, the successful candidate needs to have a passion for promoting nursing education, working in collaboration with the clinical areas and being part of a supportive and committed team.Ngā pūkenga me ngā 

wheako: Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree essential
  • Have Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ as a Registered Nurse and a Current Practising Certificate
  • hold a relevant master's degree or have a professional development plan in place to complete a master's degree 
  • have completed a programme in adult teaching and learning within two years of appointment
  • A minimum of 2 years post-registration experience and a background in general nursing skills
  • Research active or a keen interest in research.
