The Faculty of Health, Social Services and Applied Sciences has state-of-the art teaching facilities, run by staff with extensive clinical and academic experience. Our focus is on ensuring that ākonga are fully equipped and work-ready to meet the demands of the ever-changing healthcare environment. UCOL delivers quality nursing programmes to ākonga in an environment where we care about the individual.
We are seeking an exceptional part time Clinical Portfolio Coordinator to join our highly motivated and supportive team. As a Clinical Portfolio Coordinator, you will work closely with clinical agencies to allocate Bachelor of Nursing and Diploma of Enrolled Nursing students to clinical settings as part of their programmes. This will require strong relationships with clinical agencies, prioritising tasks and the ability to plan ahead. You will support students in preparation for their clinical experiences, delivering sessions outlining the expectations of the placement and ensuring prerequisites have been met. In addition to this, you will be supported to actively engage in professional development.
The available position is 0.3 FTE.

· You have a health qualification with at least two years of experience – previous New Zealand Registered Nurse preferred.
· You are culturally competent and are committed to working in a manner which upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
· You enjoy engaging with clinical agencies and have proven relationship management skills
· You are wanting to make a real difference to the future of New Zealand’s nursing workforce
· You are comfortable working with students
· You are a team player who can confidently take the initiative, and work independently
· You are highly motivated, dynamic and engaging
· You are available to work across the UCOL Manawatū and Whanganui campuses
· You are proficient in digital literacy
· You have the ability to link long-range visions and strategies to current activity
. You are ideally working towards, or have completed, your Adult Teaching qualification.
